Cyclists head for the open road

Nineteen RAF cyclists are attempting to ride across the UK at its widest point in just four days.

The route begins today, Tuesday 11th October, at St David's Head in Wales and finishes in Lowestoft, Suffolk on Friday 14th, covering approximately 100 miles each day.

The ride will pay tribute to Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging, who tragically lost his life in August while completing a Red Arrows display at the Bournemouth Air Festival. Dr Emma Egging, his wife, will join the team of cyclists for the entire duration of the ride.
