Economic growth theme for business show
Lincolnshire’s future economic growth will be the theme of the Lincolnshire Property and Business Investment Show on Wednesday 28th March at the Lincolnshire Events Centre.
A popular feature of the event is the series of free seminars, which this year will be introduced by Jenny Gammon, Director of Economic Development at Lincolnshire County Council. Seminars will be led by Ursula Lidbetter MBE, Chairman of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, Terry Mankertz from UKTI’s Investment Services Team and Alastair Cunningham, East Midlands agent for the Bank of England. The financial seminar in the afternoon will be led as usual by Streets Chartered Accountants. Street’s Property Seminar will provide a topic update on key tax issues affecting property developers, investors and those owners of their own commercial property. Visit www.streetsweb.co.uk for more information.
More than 550 people attended the event last year, and show organiser Martin Freeman predicts this year’s event will attract even more as people become more aware of the real business outcomes that have resulted from previous shows. He says, “The purpose of the event is to put the focus on Lincolnshire. Many people don’t necessarily realise what great infrastructure this area has. The whole point is to attract inward and indigenous investment into Lincolnshire, and based on the track record of the previous two I’m sure it will be phenomenally successful.
“In particular we want to showcase Lincoln, Grantham and Gainsborough. Local authorities and private/public partnerships are also on board, and we are urging the Northern part of the county to get involved.”
