IoD East Midlands Director of the Year Awards

The search is on for the region’s top business leaders and entrepreneurs as the Institute of Directors (IoD) invites nominations for its East Midlands Director of the Year Awards

Applications for the awards, which will be announced at a special regional event in April, should be made to the IoD East Midlands Regional Office by 29 February. An application form can be found at: www.iod.com/eastmidlands.

The IoD has some 2,200 Members in the East Midlands and has active business groups operating in Leicestershire and Rutland;Lincolnshire, Nottingham and Derbyshire and Northamptonshire.

Ron Lynch, IoD East Midlands Regional Director, commented:”The awards are open to both members and non members. We are seeking people who have made a difference in business and demonstrate special leadership and entrpreneurial qualities.If you don't want to apply yourself, please feel free to nominate someone else you think deserves an award.”

The categories of award on offer are: 

Director of the Year 

Director of the Year (large company)

Director of the Year (small and medium company)

Young Director of the Year

Family Business Director of the Year

Director of the Year (Public sector/ third sector)

International Director of the Year.

Winners of the regional titles will be entered into the IoD’s prestigious national director awards in London later in the year. Dr Kevin Hard, CEO of the Chilwell, Nottinghamshire- based company EvoEnergy Ltd is the current holder of the IoD’s national Director of the Year for Environmental Leadership.
