BUSINESS

Teal Park gears up for more business

Lincoln’s Teal Park, the new home of Seimens, is now attracting the attention of other potential business occupiers as major building and highways construction work progress rapidly.

Sam Elkington, senior partner at Hodgson Elkington LLP, sole agent for owners Taylor Lindsey, says, “Works are proceeding rapidly on both the A46 Bypass upgrade and the Seimens development at Teal Park. The Bypass upgrade works are now taking shape and the new roundabout at the Whisby Road/Kingsley Road junction is open.

“Now that potential occupiers of Teal Park can see development work taking place and know that the Bypass upgrade is nearing completion, they can see that this project is for real and that Lincoln really is the home of the East Midlands Premier Employment Park.  We have received a number of enquiries which we are progressing and whilst it will clearly take time to bring these to fruition, it is encouraging that even in these extremely testing times, potential occupiers are showing genuine interest in the development,” said Sam Elkington.

Taylor Lindsey director Robin Taylor adds, “I am delighted with the progress that is being made with both the highway upgrade and the building works on the Seimens’ relocation site. With these two elements of the project going according to plan, we will, by the end of this year, have the East Midlands Premier Employment Park up trading and open for business."

Works on the A46 Bypass are scheduled to be completed by Autumn 2012.  Work on the Seimens’ relocation building is scheduled also to be completed by August 2012 with an occupation of the building scheduled to be in early 2013.
