Rural theatre brings family favourite to North Lincs

Pinnochio is brought to life by the Strangeface Mask Theatre Company, as the Livelincs rural touring scheme kicks off for the Spring season.

Based on the original story by Carlo Collodi, this production is more Roald Dahl than Disney and follows the madcap scrapes of the original puppet in a pickle.

Featuring five performers, half masks, puppetry and live music, this thrilling and heartwarming performance is an ideal treat for all the family.

Performances will take place on the following dates, advance tickets are available at the venue:

Monday 6 February at Althorpe and Keadby School at 6pm, telephone 01724 782344

Tuesday 7 February at St Norbert’s Catholic School at 6.30pm, telephone 01724 710249

Wednesday 8 February at Kirton in Lindsey Town Hall at 6pm, telephone 01652 648435

Thursday 9 February Burton upon Stather Primary School at 6pm, telephone 01724 720394.

The company always run a short session after the performance where the audience can look at and try on the masks and ask questions about the performance.

Livelincs is the rural touring scheme for North Lincolnshire and is funded by Arts Council England and North Lincolnshire Council.

Cllr John Briggs, cabinet member for Asset and Estate Management, Sport, Leisure and Culture, said: “Livelincs brings quality performances to rural communities in North Lincolnshire throughout the year.

“This family favourite has had some excellent reviews, don’t miss out on your chance to see this imaginative show.”
