Shappi Khorsandi to perform with Robin Ince in Scunthorpe

Star of Live At The Apollo, Shappi Khorsandi, will appear at The Plowright Theatre in Scunthorpe on Thursday, 24 May.

Shappi Khorsandi is one of the hottest comedy prospects in the country. She’s feisty, flirty and effortlessly funny and handles every subject with a razor sharp wit, softened only by her deliciously dizzy delivery and endless charm. Tickets, priced £14, are on sale now.

Having recently completed a national sold-out tour with Professor Brian Cox, Sony Gold Award winner Robin Ince will take to the stage at The Plowright Theatre on Thursday, 17 May. He is best known for presenting the BBC radio show The Infinite Monkey Cage, as well as appearing in the hit TV show The Office. Tickets for this incredible show are now on sale, priced £12, with concessions just £10.

Dan Harris, General Manager of The Baths Hall, said: “Shappi Khorsandi is a regular on our television screens – she featured on BBC 1’s Live At The Apollo last Saturday night. Shappi is one of the hottest prospects on the circuit and I’m delighted she will be visiting The Plowright Theatre in May. I’ve worked with Robin Ince on many occasions over the years and he always puts on a wonderful show. Guests are in for a real treat with both performances.”

There are a number of other exciting events taking place at The Baths Hall in the coming weeks. Scunthorpe-born artist Lee Coleman will be displaying his ‘Mr Faceless’ series of art from 30 January, Brendan Cole brings his sold out ‘Live and Unjudged’ tour on 1 February and rock musical American Anthems comes to town on 11 February. The Plowright Theatre has Let’s Hang On: The Music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons on 4 February. Wilton Productions present The Young Ones from 7 February until 11 February.

Tickets for all events are on sale from the two respective venue Box Offices, telephone 0844 8542776 or visit www.scunthorpetheatres.co.uk
