Joe Longthorne to perform at The Baths Hall

Hull-born entertainer Joe Longthorne is to perform at The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe on Friday, 4 May.

One of the region’s best known entertainers, Joe will be stopping off in Scunthorpe as part of a 54-date UK tour which runs between March and July. After bursting on to TV screens in the early 80s as a singer and impressionist, Joe’s success led to appearances at the London Palladium and on the Royal Variety Performance.

In the late Eighties, Joe had been diagnosed with lymphoma, a form of cancer of the blood, which he battled for 17 years, until he received the news the lymphoma had turned into leukaemia. After undergoing a bone marrow transplant, Joe is back on tour entertaining crowds across the UK.

A spokesman for The Baths Hall said: “As there is no Hull date on this tour, this is almost a homecoming for Joe. With 30 years as a professional in the industry, Joe has had a fantastic career and his performance in Scunthorpe on 4 May will be one not to miss.”

Tickets for Joe’s performance, priced £20, are now on sale from the website or telephone 0844 8542776.
