James and the Giant Pig

Lincolnshire fans of the traditional hog roast should keep their eyes peeled for a very special mobile oven.

Measuring four metres in length, weighing in at just over a ton, and the only pig-shaped one in the country, it’s certainly difficult to miss! Nicknamed Hercules, this whopping hog can feed up to a thousand hungry diners in one sitting and its giant oven has the capacity to roast up to four whole hogs at the same time.

James Farrow of The Hog and Ox Roast Company says, “Hog roasts are as popular as ever at all kinds of events and not just the ones in the warmer months. I’m really excited to be doing what I Iove on such a large scale. It’s definitely not every day that you’ll have a giant pink pig present at your get-togethers!”
