Lincolnshire Home Improvement Agency wins contract
Lincolnshire Home Improvement Agency has been awarded a 3 year contract worth £560k through a programme managed by Lincolnshire County Council’s ‘Supporting People’.
Facing strong national competition, LHIA, an independent local charity, is proud to have achieved this support to continue its work to help people to remain in their homes when circumstances change and adaptations are needed to accommodate their needs.
Building on its proven and award winning track record of efficiency, management changes have taken place at Lincolnshire Home Improvement Agency including the recruitment of Agency Director Mick King, ex Humber Economic Partnership Executive Manager, who led the bid for the contract. He said “The funding is very welcome but it represents a 50% reduction compared to previous years, and now the challenge is to further improve efficiencies and secure other government, local authority and private funding to bridge the gap.”
The Board of volunteer Directors has also been refreshed to help steer the LHIA, effectively and professionally, and the Office of Lord Bishop of Lincoln has recently been appointed patron to the charity.
Mick King, continued “Winning this contract is fantastic news for the residents of Lincolnshire, local businesses and LHIA. We can continue to support those in need to secure an independent future by providing our established services to the highest possible standard, extending our range of services and furthering our reputation as a centre of excellence.”
