Apply online for Active Nation Lincoln 10k race
Applications have now opened for the Active Nation Lincoln 10K Road Race, which will be part of the city’s ‘Great Lincoln Sporting Weekend’ in celebration of the Olympic year.
The 16th Lincoln 10K Road Race will take place on Sunday 25th March, with ‘fringe’ races - the Healthy Lifestyles Team Primary, the Lincoln College Secondary School Races and the Lincoln “Getmummyfit” Buggy Push - having their own dedicated day on Saturday 24th March.
Professionals and fun runners alike should head to the dedicated website – www.lincoln10k.co.uk – to apply for the different races over the weekend. Applications should be submitted by Friday 16th March (unless a race is fully subscribed when entries will be closed).
Entry for the main 10K race costs £16 for those affiliated with a running club, or £18 for those who are not affiliated, and includes:
• Medal
• T-shirt
• Race brochure
• Water
• Electronic timing chip
• Race number
• Baggage label
Races taking place on Saturday 24th March include: - Lincoln College Secondary School Race (Free race) – a 4.1km race for 11 to 14 year-olds, starting at Lincoln Castle at approximately 9am and finishing at Yarborough Leisure Centre. All finishers are given a medal, goody bag and t-shirt.
- 'Healthy Lifestyles Team' Primary School Race (Free race) – a 3km race for nine to 11 year-olds, start at approximately 9.15am at Lincoln Castle and finishing at Yarborough Leisure centre. All finishers are given a medal, goody bag and t-shirt.
- Getmummyfit.com Buggy Push (£13.50 entry) – a 3km race for parents and children, starting at approximately 9.25am at Lincoln Castle and finishing at Yarborough Leisure Centre. There are prizes for first male and first female across the finish line, and all finishers get a medal, t-shirt and a trophy for each child.
