Round Table selects Top Gear for charity ball

Market Rasen Round Table recently held their Top Gear-themed charity ball at The Lawn, Lincoln

Over 180 guests enjoyed a sumptuous meal, great music and dancing as well as Top Gear-themed attractions such as slot racing, courtesy of Nottingham company Slot Cars R Us. ‘The Stig’ even made an appearance, presiding over the slot car racing, where the winner received a bottle of champagne.

Items from the night were auctioned off at the end of the evening, including a cardboard cutout ‘Stig’ and an MOT test. All funds raised were split between Children In Need and the Round Table’s chosen causes in the local community.

The Round Table work all year round to raise money for various causes, including special requests. The table invite people to write in with their cases and they will consider using their various events to raise the necessary funds.

Their next event is a Fiftieth Anniversary Charter Night at Market Rasen Racecourse on Saturday 28th January.
