South Kesteven mini Olympics 2016

The Inspire+ Mini Olympics is an annual event which has been taking place since 2008 when the South West Lincs School Sports Partnership ran it. Inspire+ took over its running in 2011 and since then the scale of the event has increased year on year.

Date: Thursday 23 June 2016

Time: 10am – 2.30pm

Venue: Grantham Meres Leisure Centre

The 2016 Mini Olympics will be the biggest yet and will see over 1175 young people from the South Kesteven district participating in sports and activities with the theme of Rio 2016!

The Mini Olympics is run by the Young Ambassador steering group with organisational support from Inspire+.  On the day the Primary School participants will be supported by over 100 Young Ambassadors and Sports Leaders.  The children will be involved in a breath taking, carnival, opening ceremony and will then have the opportunity to participate in a range of Olympic and Paralympic sports that will test their skills and teamwork.

The day is guaranteed to inspire and sends everyone home with a real buzz!
