Lincoln’s One The Brayford scoops prestigious award

Jackson & Jackson Developments are celebrating following the announcement that its striking Lincoln development, One The Brayford, has been crowned Development Project of the Year (Over £5m) at the Greater Lincolnshire Construction & Property Awards.

Jackson & Jackson Developments were presented with the accolade during the award ceremony that took place at The Engine Shed in Lincoln on Tuesday night. The annual black-tie event welcomed over 350 people from the industry to unite, recognise and champion the county’s leading construction and property projects and businesses.

One The Brayford is the conversion of the existing historic Mill House, which boasts 89 luxury apartments. The development is the first residential development of its kind in Lincoln and the stunning property offers contemporary city centre living with elevated views of the Brayford Pool and over the city to the south and up to the Cathedral and Castle to the north.

The annual Greater Lincolnshire Construction & Property Awards are independently judged by a panel of leading construction and property industry professionals, who reviewed entries across the eight award categories.

The judges commended Jackson & Jackson Developments for One The Brayford’s design and features. Comments included:

  • “The judges were impressed by the striking interior design work and luxurious soft furnishings bringing a new dimension to the City of Lincoln, and aligning with local goals to make Lincoln a top place to work, visit and live.”
  • “Jackson & Jackson have strived to create the best facilities with modern influences, and the judges also liked the red brick work which draws back to the industrial heritage of the Brayford Pool – which helps retain the history within the area.”
  • “The judges felt that the development has also enhanced the Lincoln City skyline, adding vibrant features to our historical backdrop, and felt a complete high-quality transformation within the area has been achieved.”

Dominik Jackson, Director at Jackson & Jackson Developments, said: “We are very proud to have taken home this award for One The Brayford and to be recognised at such a high level amongst many other successful projects in the region, it’s a huge honour.

“I’d like to thank our whole team for their hard work, dedication and commitment to delivering One The Brayford, this award wouldn’t have been possible without them. One The Brayford has now transitioned from an ambitious development to a place where people want to live, which is fantastic to see.

“It’s an exciting time for the firm as we have lots of new developments in the pipeline and this award is a fantastic start to 2018 which will be another busy year for us.”

The bold and modern interior fit-out of the apartments at One The Brayford has been delivered by Lincoln-based LGG Projects.
