160 new cases of Coronavirus reported across Lincolnshire in a week

160 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded locally last week (Monday 7 – Sunday 13 September).

Broken down there have now been 2,889 instances in Lincolnshire (117 new cases in the past week), 262 in North East Lincolnshire (12 new cases in the past week), and 813 in North Lincolnshire (31 new cases in the past week).

Looking closer at Lincolnshire’s lower tier local authorities, Boston has now reported 513 cases (up 4 cases last week), East Lindsey has seen 290 cases (up 13 cases), Lincoln has recorded 374 cases (up 18 cases), North Kesteven has reported 285 cases (up 27 cases), South Holland has seen 735 cases (up 12 cases), South Kesteven has recorded 491 cases (up 25 cases), and West Lindsey has reported 201 cases (up 18 cases).

The numbers come as new rules come into force today (14 September), banning social gatherings of more than six people to mitigate rising rates of COVID-19. People flouting the new law will be fined £100 which will double on each offence up to a maximum amount of £3,200.
