3 careers that in-demand and are worth pursuing in 2021

Finding the perfect career path typically involves a number of steps. Although there is a certain level of soul searching involved, it also comes down to your personal skills, experience, interest, and perhaps most important of all – what is currently in-demand and showing signs of growth. The last thing you want to do is focus on a field that is going through a decline and risks becoming obsolete in the near future.

So, which careers are showing promise? Here we’ll take a look at three careers that are enjoying periods of growth here in the UK and could be well worth pursuing in 2021.

Tech related jobs

While this isn’t a particular job, it is more of a blanket skill that can take you in a number of different directions. Basically, tech skills are in-demand, in particular IT services and software tech skills. In terms of specific jobs, some of the careers worth looking into can include digital marketers, IT administrators, data analysts, software developers, graphic designers, and cyber security.

Many companies are looking to hire in-house tech personnel, but there is also the opportunity for you to turn your tech skills and experience into your own business, even offering consulting.

Then we have orthodontics. While the urge to get braces and straighten one’s teeth isn’t new, there seems to be a real rise in popularity among adults in the UK as of late. What this means is that there is an influx of patients to be treated.

What’s involved in becoming an orthodontist? For some in-depth information, you can read about these orthodontic courses from the London Dental Institute. With the London Dental Institute, you can pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. Orthodontic courses can be taken by those who have little to no experience, as they are designed to prep you with all the necessary skills and knowledge needed to ensure clinical success. In fact, as soon as you start the course you can start to treat patients and fit them for braces.

Here’s another career that is showing real promise for 2021 and beyond, as a variety of different types of engineers are in demand. The fact is that cities are getting more and more congested.

What this means is that engineers are needed to help design liveable spaces and ensure the cities can handle all the extra bodies. Jobs such as civil engineers, electrical engineers, environmental engineers, and software engineers are all needed. It gives people a real variety of what particular field or area of specialty they want to focus on.

What may surprise you, however, is the type of engineer that is top of the list in terms of demand – and that would be sales engineers.

So, if it’s an exciting new career path you’re after in 2021, each of these avenues can certainly show promise not just in 2021, but moving forward.
