501 new cases of Coronavirus were reported last week across Greater Lincolnshire (Monday 28 September – Sunday 4 September).
3,537 instances have now been recorded in Lincolnshire, 403 in North East Lincolnshire, and 1,045 in North Lincolnshire, taking the total locally to 4,985.
Looking closer at Lincolnshire’s lower tier local authorities, Boston has now reported 547 cases (up 18 cases last week), East Lindsey has seen 359 cases (up 29 cases), Lincoln has recorded 534 cases (up 66 cases), North Kesteven has reported 384 cases (up 40 cases), South Holland has seen 771 cases (up 22 cases), South Kesteven has recorded 617 cases (up 68 cases), and West Lindsey has reported 325 cases (up 67 cases).
The numbers come after the revelation that 16,000 Coronavirus cases went unreported between 25 September and 2 October due to a technical glitch. While those tested were informed that they had the virus, those who had come into contact with them were not. According to Public Health England the issue has now been resolved.
