Grantham’s popular French market is returning from 9am to 5pm on Saturday 13 October.

Visitors can make a full day of it, with French-themed breakfasts, lunches and dinners all available in the Market Place.

Try a freshly prepared traditional French croissant or crepe; tasty French cheeses and baguettes; or even a tartiflette – a famous cheese, bacon and potato dish from the French Alps.

From the south-west of France go for cuisses de canard – ready-to-cook tinned duck that just needs potatoes and vegetables adding, while a lighter option could be dry sausages and olives.

The traders with France At Home mostly come from Normandy and cross the Channel every week to offer a wide range of top quality products.

Among the stalls will be those selling local and regional cheeses, freshly baked bread, patisserie products, olives and dried fruits, handbags, jewellery and Provencal soaps.
