An international themed market will be heading to Bargate Green Car Park in Boston from Thursday 15 to Saturday 17 October, bringing with it a continental feel and some international themed delicacies.
While most of us won’t make it abroad this year, that doesn’t mean you can’t at least sample a range of food and craft options from your favourite destinations. The Continental Street Market visits 30 large towns and cities as it tours the UK, but this is its first visit to Boston.
Traders from around the world will be on hand to display the best products that their respective countries have to offer, from unusual craft items to the best hot and cold produce from their native countries.
The market is operated by RR Events, a North West based Event Management company specialising in special event and themed markets. These themed markets would normally travel the length and breadth of the UK as part of the yearly tour schedule. As with many walks of life these plans have been severely impacted by the Covid pandemic, but are once again running in large town and city centres.
RR Events Managing Director Tony Walsh said: “Myself and the team are delighted that we have agreed another brand new location and will be heading to Boston for our first visit. I want to put on record our thanks to Boston Borough Council for their hard work in facilitating our visit.
“As with many businesses we are facing many challenges this year but we know that these markets can be delivered in a Covid Safe manner and hope that people come and support these markets and their town centre.”
Kristina Willoughby, Town Centre Service Manager, said: “We are glad to be welcoming another quality market offering to the town centre to compliment our own town centre market. During these tough times we want to encourage people to use the town centre in a responsible manner and we know that these style of markets are able to do that.”
From Thursday 15th to Saturday 17th October (10am – 6pm) around 25 traders will be present, selling the best of the continent’s gastronomic delights and craft items. The food on offer will range from cakes and pastries for those with a sweet tooth, to flavoured cheeses and olives for those who prefer savoury treats, as well as a host of hot food offerings such as Greek Gyros, Spanish Paella, Pad Thai and Bratwurst.
