County hospice unveils beautiful new garden

Lindsey Lodge Hospice has unveiled its new garden at its annual Garden Party.

Hundreds of people turned out to attend the party at the Scunthorpe-based charity. The new garden was officially opened by Mayor of North Lincolnshire Cllr Jonathan Evison.

The garden was made possible thanks to an investment of almost £25,000 from British Steel’s Landfill Communities Funding scheme earlier this year.

Designed by garden designer John Cavill and developed by Ongo, the garden has also been complimented with a new summer house, generously donated by patrons Jason Threadgold Funeral Directors.

“We are extremely grateful to Mayor of North Lincolnshire Cllr Jonathan Evison for officially opening the garden, which was made extra poignant by a debut performance from our new choir, Hospice Harmonies,” said Lindsey Lodge Hospice Chief Executive Karen Griffiths.
