After the number of Coronavirus cases reported by the government locally seemed to be dwindling, with just 18 new cases last week and a number of areas in the county reporting no new cases, new figures have shown a fresh spike of the virus.
Within a day, 26 new instances of COVID-19 have been reported, beating the figure for the entire of last week.
Locally there have now been a total of 1,824 cases (consisting of 1,142 in Lincolnshire, 161 in North East Lincolnshire and 521 in North Lincolnshire).
Locations including Boston and North Kesteven each saw one new case reported on 9 June, while in South Holland 5 new cases have been confirmed. South Kesteven has seen a larger jump of 14 cases.
In good news for Lincoln, East Lindsey and West Lindsey, however, figures have remained stagnant at 121, 164 and 80 total cases.
