Alcohol free Christmas punch

Not all your guests this year will be wanting to consume alcohol but there’s nothing worse than being the elected driver and having a diet coke thrust in your hand. So, here’s a quick easy recipe for a non Alcoholic Christmas Punch that’ll serve up to 6.

Serve this spicy non-alcoholic punch and no one has to worry about being pulled over, or worse still causing a road traffic accident due to being under the influence .

Ingredients

  • 1 litre apple juice
  • 500ml orange juice
  • 200ml water
  • A good slug of ginger cordial (enough to make it fiery)
  • Slices of orange
  • 16 whole cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 desert spoon sugar

Method

Simply place all the ingredients in a saucepan.  Heat the mixture and simmer gently over a low heat for about 10 minutes (do not boil).

Allow to cool a little and pour the warm punch into warm glasses or cups, making sure everyone receives a slice of orange.
