Looking for something to do this summer? Hartsholme Country Park is offering a series of activities to get you out and about.
Join the rangers to build a shelter using fallen timber and tarpaulins at an event on Tuesday 29th July. Den Building will take place in the woods from 1pm to 3pm. Pond Dipping offers little ones the chance to explore the hidden depths of the site’s wildlife pond to see which creepy critters are lurking below. This event will take place on Tuesday 5th August. Both events cost £2.50 and will run from 1pm until 3pm.
Conservation Ranger Lisa Blezzard says, “We have a fantastic range of events on offer now that summer is finally here at Hartsholme Country Park. With two events per week your little ones will have no time for boredom during the holidays.”
This year’s Hartsholme Country Park family fun day will take place on Sunday 10th August from 11am to 4pm. The event will feature a bouncy castle, smoothie bike, wildlife displays, face painting, chainsaw sculpting and much more. Some charges for activities may apply but most will be free of charge.
