Greater Lincolnshire Coronavirus cases pass 56,500

The number of COVID-19 cases across the county has passed 56,000.

As of Sunday 21 March, a total of 56,593 cases have been reported across Greater Lincolnshire since the pandemic began – an increase in 1,091 cases from the Sunday prior.

This represents a slight decrease in new cases than the week ending Sunday 14 March, which saw 1,120 new instances.

Broken down, Lincolnshire has reported a total of 39,645 cases, North East Lincolnshire has seen 8,260 cases, and North Lincolnshire has witnessed 8,688 cases.

At lower tier local authority level, Boston has recorded a total of 4,686 instances, East Lindsey has seen 6,180, Lincoln has witnessed 6,775, North Kesteven has reported 5,403, South Holland has recorded 4,990, South Kesteven has seen 7,125, and West Lindsey has witnessed 4,486 cases.
