Gusto Group’s 24-hour challenge!

Having completed a coast-to-coast bike ride a couple of years ago, Gusto Group were enthusiastic to do another sponsored challenge but to make it inclusive for all ages and fitness levels.

The 24-hour Viking way challenge is 84 miles, starting from the Humber bridge to Cherry fields near Lincoln. Gusto Group broke it down into sections of runners, fast walkers and slow walkers with the baton being passed from each group.

The toughest sections were the six hour overnight walks through the Lincolnshire Wolds which left some of the less prepared walkers hobbling.

Gusto Group raised over £6,000 for its two chosen charities.

Founded by ex-Gusto bricklayer, Gary Goddard, Lincs2Nepal has been changing children’s lives in Nepal through drastically improving the quality of education received by lower caste kids.

The Red Cross Ukrainian appeal are working hard distributing aid, blankets, hygiene parcels and warm clothes in Ukraine, helping 750,000 people so far.
