How to make your home more comfortable to spend time in

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, more people than ever before have been spending more time at home. While the lifting restrictions around the world have made many of us realize just how much we missed getting out and doing things, it has also helped us appreciate home comforts a little bit more and many people are happier doing things to keep themselves entertained at home rather than going out and spending money. If you prefer staying in when you’ve got some spare time, here are some tips to make your home into a more comfortable place where you’ll definitely want to be.

The Right Lighting

The lighting in your home can have a drastic impact on how it looks and feels. Lots of natural light or bright lighting that mimics natural light is the ideal choice for your home if you are working from a home office or have something that you need to focus on, along with being good for your mental health and mood. On the other hand, dimmed lights from lamps and sconces are the best choice for when you want to relax and wind down.

Space to Exercise

When you’re spending more time at home, you might find that you are sitting around and not moving as much. This is especially true if you are working from home right now and plan to continue since you might no longer be in the routine of going to the gym or for a run before or after work. Creating a space in your home where you can exercise with accessories like the yoga mat and kettlebell from Versace Home will ensure that you have a functional home gym that still looks stylish. Along with home gym essentials, you can find a range of Versace Décor items from the Versace Homeware range at SSENSE.

Storage and Organization

When you are spending more time than before at home, you might start to notice clutter that didn’t bother you as much before. In addition, when you’re using your home for more things than before, you might require more storage space. Smart storage solutions are the best option for any home; hiding storage in furniture that also looks great is a good way to make the most of the space and keep your home looking stylish while still having plenty of places to store your things neatly.

Outdoor Space

Finally, staying at home might be a comfortable option for many but you might still want to spend some time outdoors. So, bring your home outdoors too by creating an outdoor space that you can spend time and relax in whenever you like. Depending on the size of your garden, you could do anything from a small space to relax with a book to an extravagant garden bar and hot tub so you can entertain at home as well.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us realized that since we’re paying so much to live in our homes, we might as well enjoy the time we have there. Keep these tips in mind to make your home more comfortable and enjoyable to be in.
