A Scunthorpe man recently took on The Wall challenge, attempting to complete the 69-mile marathon across Hadrian’s Wall in aid of his local hospice.
Bryan Moss completed the gruelling challenge after damaging his Achilles tendon just ten miles into the race.
He carried on running for a further four miles, before walking the remaining 48 in 19 hours, raising £300 for Lindsey Lodge Hospice in Scunthorpe.
“This challenge was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, although I didn’t want to stop, the paramedics advised that I wanted to carry on running in the future, I needed to stop,” said Bryan.
“My father-in-law was cared for by the hospice, so I know how important the work they do is to local people and their families.
“Lindsey Lodge Hospice is a vital part of the local community, so I was keen to support the hospice through this difficult challenge.”
