To mark the centenary of the First World War, the SAA – the art community with over 42,000 members – has joined with The Royal British Legion to say thank you to those who served, sacrificed and changed our world.
What better way to salute those who fought then creating a Flanders Field of poppy paintings? So, the SAA are asking anyone to join their Paint A Poppy Challenge.
To date, the SAA have had over 4,500 entries and have raised more than £7,000, but are looking for more, all of which will be exhibited at the community’s headquarters.
Whatever your painting skills – you could be an absolute beginner or an accomplished professional – the SAA hope you’re inspired to join them. Plus, if you become a member of the SAA, you’ll get news of more competitions, new challenges, art workshops – and more.
