The National War Centre will this month be screening cult classic comedy fantasy The Princess Bride for its Tudor Hall Film Club.
The film, much of which was shot in nearby Derbyshire and Sheffield, is a hilarious but heart-warming pastiche of romantic fairy tales.
Adapted from William Goldman’s book, the film is directed by When Harry Met Sally’s Rob Reiner and features an all-star cast including Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mel Smith, Billy Crystal, Christopher Guest and more.
Visitors can enjoy this glorious storybook adventure in the stunning and sympathetic surroundings of the Tudor Hall, built around 1530. Under its impressive beams and within its striking stone walls, the audience are sure to feel part of the action even more.
The screening begins at 7pm on Friday 29 June. Tickets are limited for this exclusive event so make sure to book early by click here.
