The man arrested after the arson attack at Lincoln Hospital’s emergency department, in March, has denied the charges .
Lives were put at risk at Lincoln County Hospital’s A&E when a fire was started in the early hours of March 29th, resulting in patients and staff being evacuated and ambulances having to be diverted. The fire also cost the NHS close to £200,000 to repair the damage.
The suspect arrested by police, John Gillion Watson, 56, has denied the charge when appearing at Lincoln Magistrates Court earlier this week. The case has now been set for trial for 26th September 2022.
The suspect will be remanded in prison until the hearing.
