The New Theatre Royal Lincoln scoops the Family Attraction Tourism Award

The New Theatre Royal Lincoln scoops the Family Attraction Tourism Award accolade at the inaugural Lincolnshire Tourism Excellence Awards.

The theatre opened its doors under new management just 18 months ago and proudly accepted its first award.

The theatre has been lovingly rejuvenated with extensive redecoration to the front of house, new talents have joined the team and a great programme of shows scheduled with the emphasis on family friendly performance. With two Pantomimes, Alice in Wonderland and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs plus a plethora of big name shows, there really is something for everyone. Family friendly films will also be screened in the Victorian auditorium from April with children’s tickets priced at £2 including a drink of juice.

Natalie Hayes Cowley Artistic Director explains; Winning this award means so much to us as it recognises all of our hard work to turn the theatre around   and supports our ambitions to keep the theatre open for future generations to enjoy. Our plan has always been to open this beautiful heritage theatre to all members of the community, developing opportunities to share and make magical memories whilst immersed in the arts.

We are proud our front of house team who always work hard to make a family’s trip to our theatre as easy and enjoyable as possible. Our plans to raise funds to improve the current wheelchair access are also developing. We are truly grateful for our wonderful customers, volunteers and our dedicated team. We are simply thrilled to win such fabulous accolade.
