< Previous80 LINCOLNSHIRE TODAY Aries Mar 21 - Apr 20 Growing tension is starting to build up regarding a matter of principles because no one can seem to agree with anything nor reach a suitable compromise. Business looks interesting as you actively look for new ideas of making extra money and you are wisely advised to keep your ideas to yourself and vow never to mix business with pleasure. Taurus Apr 21 - May 21 Someone is obviously getting on your nerves and pushing their luck. If you allow this situation to continue, it will get worse not better, so it’s time to set down some new, stronger boundaries which send out a clear message about what behaviour is acceptable and what is not. Gemini May 22 - June 21 If you are currently involved in a complicated affair of the heart, you will soon have to make some very important decisions. Take your time before doing anything too drastic at this stage and if necessary, seek advice and guidance. Complications at work are building up because of tense communication between management and staff. Cancer Jun 22 - Jul 23 A decision lies in the balance regarding a matter much closer to home than you probably realised and this time it looks as though you are not going to be so accommodating to certain people, wisely choosing to stand back and watch carefully to what dramas unfold next. Leo Jul 24 - Aug 23 You know exactly which direction to go in next simply because you have learned valuable lessons from past experiences and now find yourself in a much stronger position. If you are in the mood, start clearing out cupboards and ridding yourself of unnecessary rubbish, this is the perfect time to de clutter and put your house in order. Virgo Aug 24 - Sep 23 Your home is your castle and it’s important to appreciate, care for and treasure all which you have worked so hard to achieve. Spend some time in the garden and make plans to improve the standard of your home. Not only will you feel proud of the end results, but also you could add substantial value to your property if you are contemplating putting it on the market. Libra Sep 24 - Oct 23 Improper comments or uncalled for criticisms from people who should mind their own business will, quite rightly, put you on your guard. Once, when you were down and out, certain people loved to gloat, now that you are in a happy state of mind, they don’t like it and they are obviously jealous of your success. Scorpio Oct 24 - Nov 22 Now that you are feeling stronger and more confident, you are about to spring a few surprises on numerous people who saw you as predictable and obviously took your friendship for granted. Finances look all set to improve and that fact in itself will be enough to put a smile on your face because at long last, things are going your way, enabling you to make a few exciting plans of your own. Sagittarius Nov 23 - Dec 21 Open and honest communication is always welcomed and much appreciated by you and because of your ability to understand others and show compassion and empathy, a close friend will seek you out to talk to you confidentially. You are the right person to help, but allow others to choose their own pathway. Astrology by Linda Lancashire 0776 4466381 www.lindalancashire.co.uk teresastanley1@btinternet.co.uk Capricorn Dec 22 - Jan 20 You are right to question someone’s motives. All that glitters is not gold so listen to your gut feelings before involving yourself in someone else’s dramas. You can be extremely intuitive and on the ball when it comes to reading characters and you are rarely wrong with your analysis. Aquarius Jan 21 - Feb 19 If you are interested in investing in the property market as a means of making an income, this is the perfect time for you to make all the necessary enquirers whilst all the trends look favourable. All the kindness you have previously shown to friends and family are now beginning to show signs of reaping rich rewards. Pisces Feb 20 - Mar 20 Your sensitive soul probably feels a little shaken because of recent events, but just look at how much you have changed and moved forwards. Do not make the mistake of beating yourself up needlessly because you are in complete control of your life and intend staying that way. Those plans involved sticking a brand-spanking new Lamborghini on the third floor. But when dozens of people turned up to watch a “flying Lamborghini”, the crane hoisting it up broke down, delaying the impressive feat by three hours. Nevertheless, the issue was resolved and now the Italian sportscar is now on the third floor of the Hive club in Skegvegas. watercooler 82 LINCOLNSHIRE TODAY LincolnshireToday @lincstoday lincolnshiretoday.net Have we missed anything? Send your rib-ticklers to d.cuthbert@blmgroup.co.uk The lockdown has been hard on all of us, but it’s also brought out the best of humanity and demonstrated the true meaning of community. In this special edition of By the Watercooler, we bring you three stories that have emerged over the lockdown that have made us smile and, we hope, will also bring you joy. Giant butterflies in Freshney It’s not all tongue in cheek and poking fun on our watercooler page. Sometimes, we just like to highlight some touching stories from across our community. A case in point is a recent installation unveiled in Grimsby. As part of its ‘Moving Forward’ campaign, Freshney Place has unveiled a butterfly-themed installation. Suspended from the glazed atrium in Friargate Square, the display offers a beautiful, eye-catching sight for shoppers. The butterflies themselves were handcrafted by the local community. The campaign is using the butterfly to symbolise the journey of the Freshney Centre and its role in the community – as much over this last year as into the future as it evolves towards redevelopment. Sweet that. By the Who’s a good boy? What has four legs, a tail and is a very good boy? That’s right, Lincolnshire Police’s latest recruit. PD Henry is the force’s new digital media search dog. No, that doesn’t mean you can use him like Google, rather he sniffs out tech such as mobile phones, SD cards and USB sticks – whatever might contain evidence for a case. He’s the second such dog brought on for digital media searching after PD Flurry joined back in August 2020. “We are one of only a handful of forces in the UK with such capability to help the force meet the ever-changing picture of crime and criminality,” said Sergeant Thomas Richardson of the Dog Section at Lincolnshire Police. “These dogs are an incredible asset to the force and bring a search capability that no human could ever replicate.” © Lincolnshire Police © John Byford © Shutterstock/Serhii Brovko 82.qxp_Layout 1 23/06/2021 07:29 Page 1Looking forward at new business opportunities SINGLE USE MENUS / NOTICES AND SIGNS / INFORMATION LEAFLETS / LOGOS AND BRANDING STATIONARY / BUSINESS CARDS / NEWSLETTERS / POSTCARDS / FLYERS / BROCHURES VINYL BANNERS / ROLLER BANNERS / POSTERS / PLAN PRINTING Established more than 40 years ago, Lincoln Print & Copy Centre has experienced the highs and lows of the economy alongside many other businesses in the area.
