< PreviousChild’s play Footage from Lincolnshire Police has gained media attention after the force used a rather odd location to train drone pilots — a soft play area! The video posted on social media showed a drone being followed as it flew through a maze of netting, tubes, and climbing frames. In a post on X, Lincolnshire Police Drones said: “As part of today’s training we visited a children’s soft play area. We understand it may appear strange but it’s one of the most complex & challenging environments to refine our skills.” Mind your head When you make your way to the tip, what do you expect to drop off? Some old and broken items perhaps. But what about an electric guillotine? Certainly, this isn’t something one would usually see, yet for the team at Grimsby Community Recycling Centre it’s exactly what they’ve been handed. With the team unsure of its origin or previous uses, the guillotine was brought to the site recently and is now being kept to be employed in this year’s ‘spook-tacular’ Halloween display. The guillotine follows other peculiar items handed in, including a 1940s American wooden Bob Sleigh, stuffed ducks, and a 1914 German World War One bombshell which had been made into a coal bucket. watercooler 70 LINCOLNSHIRE TODAY LincolnshireToday @lincstoday lincolnshiretoday.net Have we missed anything? Following concerns expressed by members of the public, over the amount of birds in the town centre, Boston Borough Council’s cabinet is considering handing a £100 fixed penalty notice to those caught serving snacks to wild birds in designated areas (the Marketplace, South Street, around The Stump, Strait Bargate, part of Wide Bargate including the War Memorial and Garden of Remembrance). According to the council, 86% of people who replied to a public consultation on the matter supported taking enforcement action. Recently discussed at an Environment and Performance Committee, Cllr Marson suggested leniency, noting: “I don’t want to see old Doris who’s 89 years old sat there waiting for a bus getting a £100 fine…for throwing a bit of bread for a pigeon.” © stock.adobe.com/Pefkos © stock.adobe.com/cn0ra Image courtesy of North East Lincolnshire CouncilOne-Stop Breast Clinic T]πl]cibhbh`na]Ƅ`anX`XbhmnZl]Xmn[Xh[]lbhmojjilni^Zl]Xmn [Xh[]lXqXl]h]mmgihnaqbnaiol^Xmn\bX`himbmZl]Xmn[ebhb[ qab[abmXpXbeXZe]niXhsih]qbnaZl]XmnmsgjnigmΥ • A Consultant led breast care specialist will examine you in presence of a specialist breast care nurse and will then request tests as appropriate to obtain accurate diagnosis • Treatment and investigations are scheduled at a time to suit you • Immediate access to a range of diagnostic equipment enabling quicker results, sometimes same day Bilgil]bh^ilgXnbihilniZiidXhXjjibhng]hn [XeeilpbmbnƄnuqbeebXgaimjbnXeΥ[iΥodNext >
