You will emerge out of these troubled times wiser for the experience and a new romance beckons on the horizon. Taurus Apr 21 - May 21 You are an enigma to others because you are good at keeping intense emotions to yourself. Once you have made a decision to do or not to do something, there is very little chance that you will change your mind. You can expect to be challenged at work by someone who thinks they know well, but even they are in for a few surprises. Gemini May 22 - June 21 It isn’t always a good idea to share all your ideas with others. Someone’s erratic behaviour will cause annoyance because you like everything to run smoothly and without a hitch. A passionate encounter makes you feel like you are walking on air and a romantic proposal will give you much to think about. Cancer Jun 22 - Jul 23 Your charisma has rarely been so great, attracting admirers wherever you go. A job opportunity and a chance to change direction will become available bringing about a much-desired opportunity to express your creative talents. Leo Jul 24 - Aug 23 Trying to strike the right balance between home and career is likely to prove something of an ordeal because so many demands are being made on your time and energy. It’s important that you begin to realise and understand just who you can rely on and who is respectful of your time. A financial matter that has been causing you much anxiety will begin to resolve itself at long last. Virgo Aug 24 - Sep 23 You are looking and feeling stronger and more in control than ever before. Excitement and tension will be in the air because both your working and personal life are so active and full of drama. It’s important to keep a level head when it comes to money matters and refrain from being over generous with the wrong people. Libra Sep 24 - Oct 23 Everyone will be taking notice of what you say and do because you are beginning to wield a lot of power that is working to your advantage both financially and socially. An old flame may even contact you with a view to arranging a meeting, but this may not impress you, especially when you consider how the relationship ended in the first place. Scorpio Oct 24 - Nov 22 An unusual partnership will be good for you, but only if you have the upper hand and feel in control. A money making opportunity will be presented to you, but the problem could be that you simply do not have the time nor the energy to plough into something that you are uncertain about. Sagittarius Nov 23 - Dec 21 Just when you thought you were getting on wonderfully well with a certain person, they suddenly change gear catapulting you into a state of confusion. Listen to your inner voice when deciding which course of action to take next because it’s important that you look after yourself in this life and learn to recognise what and who is genuine and what is fake. Astrology by Linda Lancashire 0776 4466381 www.lindalancashire.co.uk teresastanley1@btinternet.co.uk Capricorn Dec 22 - Jan 20 A financial windfall or other kind of material gain will enable you to make plans for a holiday or some other project that needs money ploughing into it. A dinner party date could mean that you will meet someone you like very much and can spiritually connect with easily, but a former partner still has not let go nor given up hope of a reconciliation. Aquarius Jan 21 - Feb 19 Whatever happens next will not come as any great surprise but you will feel as though you are gaining greater control and can organise schedules to suit your own agenda. Although sometimes it’s hard for you to avoid unnecessary distractions, you are not going to allow an emotional matter erode your confidence. Instead, you will stand your ground and fight your corner. Pisces Feb 20 - Mar 20 Certain things and people have gone out of your life that have probably left a huge void, but it’s also important that you keep a watchful eye on your finances because you are going to need to put your hands on some money sooner than you thought so this is not a good time to be reckless with your spending. Is it a plane? Once again, we find a UFO related story gracing our Watercooler pages. Who’d have thought that aliens were so interested in Lincolnshire? Well, according to recently declassified Ministry of Defence documents, there’s been dozens of UFO sightings over northern Lincolnshire over the last few decades. The official documents detail reports of UFO sightings in the skies over Immingham, Scunthorpe, Grimsby and the Humber between 1997 and 2009. It’s probably worth noting that public interest in aliens and UFOs were at an all-time high during this period with The X-Files and Men in Black at the height of their respective popularities. You can read the documents yourself on the Government’s website, or you can watch the skies and try and spot a UFO first-hand. watercooler 66 LINCOLNSHIRE TODAY LincolnshireToday @lincstoday lincolnshiretoday.net Have we missed anything? Send your rib-ticklers to d.cuthbert@blmgroup.co.uk The lockdown has been hard on all of us, but it’s also brought out the best of humanity and demonstrated the true meaning of community. In this special edition of By the Watercooler, we bring you three stories that have emerged over the lockdown that have made us smile and, we hope, will also bring you joy. Mystery of the bearded vulture solved Admittedly it’s not exactly an Agatha Christie plot but, nonetheless, Lincolnshire birdwatchers had a mystery on their hands after a giant bearded vulture was spotted recently at Moulton West Fen near Spalding. Hundreds of bird watchers flocked to catch a glimpse of the bird, which has been dubbed ‘Virgo’. The bird, which sports an impressive 8.2ft wingspan, is normally found in Alpine regions, and rarely seen in the UK. So where did it come from, we hear you cry? Well, after scientists carried out genetic tests on the bird’s feathers, found that it hatched last year in the French alps. So now you know. By the © Mark Hawkes (@GrafhamWBirder) © Shutterstock/Richard Susanto © Shutterstock/Ana Aguirre Perez Polly wants a $%&! There’s no denying that one of the highlights of visiting any wildlife park or zoo is seeing – or rather, hearing – the parrots. No matter our age, hearing them mimic human speech is always a delight…unless they happen to be swearing. That’s exactly what happened recently at Lincolnshire Wildlife Park. The five offending African grey parrots were adopted by the park back in August and placed in quarantine together. But when they were moved into the main outdoor aviaries, they began offending visitors with their foul mouths (or is that beaks?). They have since been moved into different colonies at the Park. 66.qxp_Layout 1 02/11/2020 16:14 Page 1Comforts Avenue, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire DN15 6PN Tel: 01724 280 082 J.
