Lincolnshire Showground celebrates successful 21st Food and Gift Fair

On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 November the Lincolnshire Showground stepped into Christmas with its 21st annual Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair.

With 500 more visitors than last year, thousands enjoyed the return of the popular event which welcomed 138 exhibitors – 20 more than 2021.

Highlights from the weekend included live cooking demonstrations at the Lincolnshire Kitchen stage from Great British Bake Off Star, Sandy Docherty, who wowed visitors with her cooking skills, making festive cheese bites using local cheese. Five other special guests also took to the stage across the two days, including Ruchita Green from Masala Masters, a company that provides a range of Indian food experiences, including cooking workshops, and Tom Remington from Strait & Narrow, a cocktail bar in Lincoln.

Alongside this, there were plenty of workshops to help people get in the festive mood, including Christmas wreath making and table arrangement design sessions. There was also plenty to entertain the children in Santa’s Workshop area.

Sarah Duxbury, business development and trade sales manager at Lincolnshire Showground, said: “It was great to welcome visitors back for our 21st annual Food and Drink Fair. It was another wonderful weekend and the perfect way to kick off the festive season.

“Each year the event always proves to be very popular. It provides a great way to support local Lincolnshire businesses while also providing people with a fantastic day out, and this year certainly didn’t disappoint. We’re pleased to have built on the successes of last year’s event with even more exhibitors and visitors, as well as some very special guests including Sandy Docherty.

“We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who made this year so special. We’re already excited about making next year’s even better.”
