WinterLight to bring festive magic to Sleaford

Festive magic is coming to Sleaford’s Market Place as WinterLight returns for its second year with hand-crafted light installations.

Visitors can enjoy free seasonal entertainment, including illuminated woodland animals, a community lantern procession, ice skating, curling, music, crafts, face painting, walkabout entertainment such as an LED Hula Hooper, and more, at the event on Saturday 20 December (3pm-8pm).

The event has been funded by the government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, and is being delivered by North Kesteven District Council.

Councillor Richard Wright, leader of North Kesteven District Council, said: “We are pleased to be able to run this popular event again thanks to UKSPF funding and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to experience the wonders of WinterLight as Sleaford comes to life for the festive period.

“There will be plenty of festive fun for the whole family and it’s also a great opportunity to celebrate Christmas and support local businesses in the Market Place and wider town.”
