Applications open for children starting school in 2026

Families in North East Lincolnshire with children born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 can now apply for a Reception place for September 2026. The admissions window has opened and runs until 15 January 2026.

Details on how to apply have been shared with nurseries and early years providers across the area and are available on the North East Lincolnshire Council website. Most families are expected to apply online through the Parent Portal, where they can access guidance, submit their preferences securely, and receive their offer by email. Paper forms remain available for anyone unable to complete the digital application.

School places will be confirmed on National Primary Offers Day on 16 April 2026 for all on-time applications.

The council’s School Admissions Team continues to support families throughout the process and can be contacted by email or telephone for impartial advice.
