Why? Well, it’s not an SUV – how refreshing – and it gets people talking to you. Yes, it’s that racy – and attractive! Okay, you may not think that’s a good thing, but in the age of apps for this and apps for that, it’s nice to have human contact. Anyway, back to the Audi. Those four rings are prestigious, and people will know you’ve done well with this sporty GT sitting on your drive. The electric range isn’t class-leading – but well over 200 miles means it’s a real-world electric vehicle (EV) – and one that can charge up quickly enough. It will seat four people and hold some luggage – but a load lugger it is not. But so what? You aren’t going to lease or buy this 0-62mph in 4.1 seconds GT quattro if you have four kids and three dogs – and a bunch of suitcases. Right? Anyway, unsurprisingly, this rapid GT is the flagship of Audi’s EV line-up. Under its gorgeous flowing form, we’re almost tempted to say there’s a Porsche Taycan. There kind of is, as the car shares a whole bunch of tech with the Porsche. The GT is around the same size as the Taycan, too. We guess it’d have to be to fit all the Porsche bits under the metal. The build quality is top-class, and the drivability is, too. Moreover, the e-tron GT is much better looking than the standard e-tron and some Teslas. In our book, that makes it an electric car we’d have ourselves – if we could afford it at its ‘base’ price of just under £84,000. Oh, come on, life’s short, and we don’t all have to drive Teslas, you know! Key Specifications Price: £83,665 (GT quattro) Range (WLTP): 295 miles Charge time (7.4kW): 13.5 hours Charge time (150kW, 10-80%): 40m Battery: 93.4 kWh 0-62mph: 4.1 seconds Top Speed: 152 mph Power: 476 PS Wheels driven: All-wheel-drive 70-71.qxp_Layout 1 21/02/2023 10:05 Page 272 LINCOLNSHIRE TODAY what’s Stamford March 1 The Swearing Jar - Stamford Arts Centre Finding one true soulmate is fortunate. The man went on to describe the police as “useless” after they had raided his normal dealer, forcing him to try a new supplier. Lincolnshire Police took to social media to share the event with a GIF of the cartoon characters SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star, as SpongeBob looks through binoculars whilst telling Patrick to “write that down.” The Twitter post said: “Thank you to the caller who phoned us about paying for drugs to their new dealer and unfortunately they haven’t received anything. But what if this process was much more exhilarating? Four terrified job seekers recently found themselves presented with an entirely different kind of interview, as they were whizzed around Cadwell Park racetrack in Lincolnshire in a BMW at speeds up to 110mph while being questioned on their CVs. The smartly dressed candidates, seeking a sales executive role at a car dealer, can be seen screaming in fear and egging the driver on in a YouTube video, being thrown around in their seats as they attempted to explain why they should be chosen for the job. In a happy ending for the candidates, they were all hired on the spot. © stock.adobe.com/Zsolt Biczó © stock.adobe.com/AA+W 78.qxp_Layout 1 21/02/2023 10:08 Page 1Printing|Copying|Graphic Design LOGOS | BRANDING | BUSINESS STATIONERY FLYERS & POSTERS | BROCHURES | NEWSLETTERS A0 COPYING & SCANNING | OS MAPPING CAD & PLAN PRINTING | PRINT FINISHING High Quality Print & Design in Lincolnshire N 01522 546118 E sales@lincolncopycentre.co.uk www.lincolncopycentre.co.uk COMING UP AT THE PALACE THEATRE NEWARK Vincent Simone - Tango Passions Wednesday 29th March 7.30pm Premium £39.50, Standard £37.50.
