Based on the 1.5-litre 132ps Exclusive-Line Roadster, the £30,265 Kizuna features a stand-out design that includes free-of-charge Deep Crystal Blue or Machine Grey paint matched to a premium blue fabric hood. Drop the roof and the Kizuna’s Light Stone Nappa leather further complements the exterior colour and 16- inch bright alloy wheels. The Kizuna goes on sale alongside the 10-model 2023 Mazda MX-5 line-up that features the newly named Prime-Line, Exclusive-Line and Homura trim levels. Both the Roadster and Retractable Fastback RF models come with a choice of 1.5-litre 132ps and 184ps 2.0-litre Skyactiv- G petrol engines. For the 2023 model year the 1.5-litre Roadster is available in Prime- Line and Exclusive-Line grade. Mercedez-Benz E Class The new E-Class has the proportions of a classic threebox saloon: the short front overhang and long bonnet are followed by a greenhouse which is set well back. The passenger area is generously dimensioned, partly owing to the two- centimetre longer wheelbase compared to the preceding series. The connection between tradition and modernity is made particularly clear by a feature at the front: A black panel-like surface connects the radiator grille with the headlamps. This insert in high-gloss black is visually reminiscent of the Mercedes-EQ models. The electronics architecture is more software-driven and less hardware-driven. The computing functions of previously separate domains take place in a single processor. Screens and the MBUX infotainment system thus share a new, 72 Á Mazda MX-5 Kizuna72 LINCOLNSHIRE TODAY COUNTY MOTORING very powerful central onboard computer. The dashboard makes for the digital experience in the interior. If the E- Class is equipped with the optional front passenger screen, the large glass surface of the MBUX Superscreen extends to the central display. Visually detached from this is the high-resolution driver display in the driver’s field of vision. 2023 MG HS MG Motor UK has released pricing of the new, comprehensively updated HS – revealing a bold new design for the company’s best-selling flagship SUV. The 2023 MG HS will continue to offer customers outstanding value for money, retaining the same pricing structure as the outgoing model, with the generously equipped SE specification starting from just £23,495 on the road. Following an extensive redesign, the new HS debuts a sharper, more aggressive appearance. At the front, new bi-function LED headlights, a bold grille design and a new front bumper create an enhanced look that re-establishes the HS as MG’s largest, most luxurious SUV. The new MG HS will be offered in SE or Trophy specification, both offering comprehensive equipment levels. At launch, all models will be powered by a 1.5 litre, turbocharged petrol engine delivering up to 162PS. Volkswagen ID.7 Volkswagen now presents the new ID.7, the brand’s first global electric model for the upper mid-size class. The combination of ranges up to 700 kilometres (WLTP)2, superior powertrain, spacious interior and premium technologies makes the ID.7 a comfortable limousine for long distance travel and opens up a new segment for the ID. family. The ID.7 is almost five metres long and was designed based on aerodynamic principles. Its roof slopes elegantly to the rear in coupé style and contributes to achieving an excellent drag coefficient of about 0.23 depending on the vehicle equipment. The long wheelbase and short overhangs create plenty of space in the vehicle interior for all occupants. With the new massage seats and the electronically dimmable panoramic sunroof, the ID.7 offers equipment options that are otherwise present only in the higher classes of premium Mercedez-Benz E ClassLINCOLNSHIRE TODAY 73 2023 MG HS Volkswagen ID.7 Tel: 01472 812130 www.lincsvwa.com Unit 3, Woodside Park, Station Road, Tetney, Grimsby. The GT looks gorgeous, as supercars do, albeit not as crazy as the 650S or 720S, and it’s powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 620PS. Based on the 720S’ platform, it accommodates more brand-new parts than those carried over from its predecessor. It also utilises more carbon fibre, which makes its housings smaller, resulting in more usable space in the luggage department. The steering is right on point, weighting up perfectly to offer the precision you need to tackle bends quickly, and, in this regard, it’s among the best in its class. It can cruise along slowly just fine, but when you’re hungry to get up to speed, it wastes no time at all, dealing with 0-62mph in a staggering 3.2-seconds and topping out at 203mph – and it’s raucous when it gets going. Admittedly, although the suspension has been fitted with softer springs, the ride is still firmer than in most Grand Tourers. Whether you could achieve a GT car’s true purpose – managing a 500-mile journey across Europe without losing the feeling in your legs – remains to be seen. That said, the McLaren GT is a lovely car to drive – and it’s just a smidgeon less ferocious than the manufacturer’s other cars. But really, it’s a halfway house, as it’s far less forgiving than the likes of a bulky Bentley Continental GT. On the other hand, this is a McLaren, so we shouldn’t be expecting anything else. It certainly blurs the lines between racer-supercar and Grand Tourer. At least it means you can thunder across the continent and power slide around the twisty backroads of the French Riviera with a warm backside. And you’ve got the satisfaction that your golf clubs can come along, too! Perfect for a weekend away or a long week’s holiday, the trend has seen a huge rise in popularity in recent years, and we were eager to find out more about the experience by visiting Chapel Fields Holiday Park, who have recently added glamping pods to their park alongside their static holiday homes and caravan sites. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the team at “The Den”, the park’s very own bar, restaurant, coffee shop and live music venue. The Den, another recent addition to the Park, is bright, cosy and offers a great choice of wines and beers along with food served daily. There’s a great range of choice in the menu, from light bites to a full Sunday roast, they also offer a fabulously indulgent cooked breakfast - something both my guest and I thoroughly enjoyed. There’s a lovely outside park area for the kids (which is also dog friendly) and we enjoyed a relaxing meal and a few drinks whilst listening to the entertainment for the evening. The Pods are located a short walk from The Den and each have their own parking, waterside views and, for the fisherman, its own private fishing berth. Each Pod also has its own large, decked veranda, perfect for alfresco dining and of course enjoying a glass of wine. There really is something quite calming about being so close to the water and listening to the local wildlife. I’m told this is one of the main joys of glamping – that it’s accessible for seasoned campers and those who have never camped before. Our pod was extremely cosy with a fully fitted kitchen area with all of the mod cons. Everything is supplied as required, including washing up liquid, and the spacious living room with large TV and comfy sofas give you an extra space to chill and look out through the large patio doors once the temperature drops in the evenings. The sleeping areas are great fun, with a mezzanine area that is perfect for children or young adults. We opted to sleep on the ground floor area, with another TV at the foot of the bed, and were again struck by how comfortable the experience was. The beds are fully sized, spacious, and comfortable, highlighting the high- comfort luxury aspect of glamping, and taking a lot of the hard parts out. Lest you worry. the bathroom is also well laid out, with a waterfall style shower, sink and WC, supplied with lots of lovely fluffy towels as well as a selection of toiletries.
