We all have choices and it’s important that you start putting yourself first instead of forever accommodating others and pandering to their whims. An old flame may contact you and there will be a big temptation to rekindle that romance. Taurus Apr 21 - May 21 There are still numerous unresolved issues haunting your thoughts, preventing you from achieving a sense of peace and inner contentment. Not everyone will agree with your next course of action and certain friends may accuse you of being insane by contacting this person, but you must follow your heart and do what is right for you in the long run. Gemini May 22 - June 21 It’s never a good idea to believe gossip so form your own opinion and often the least said the better. Keep vital important information close to yourself and choose your friends and confidants wisely. Romance will take a turn for the better once you and your partner begin to speak openly and honestly about your feelings. Cancer Jun 22 - Jul 23 A last-minute change of heart regarding a matter close to your heart could force you to rethink your future plans regarding an important personal or business matter. Whatever your current circumstances may be, you cannot afford to take your wellbeing for granted and if necessary, decline certain invitations if it means you becoming overtired. Leo Jul 24 - Aug 23 The pressure is on and you may feel trapped or cornered by a situation that you are trying to escape from. Romance will prove interesting, if not challenging. Be prepared for just about anything because you never know whom you will meet or what surprises will unfold as a result of you taking a chance on life. Virgo Aug 24 - Sep 23 A confrontation with a loved one or work colleague may arise unexpectedly and you will have to think quickly on your feet if you are to make yourself understood. If in doubt, say now because there is wisdom in silence and much to be gained by not forever pandering to the whims of others. Libra Sep 24 - Oct 23 Start taking more of a concentrated interest in your finances and look at new ways of making a few wise investments. An exciting new business opportunity will enable you to double your money and live more comfortably, but first you must do all the groundwork and get a promising project off the ground. Scorpio Oct 24 - Nov 22 There are times when you enjoy nothing more than to retreat into the comfort of your home, enjoying your own company and relishing your space and privacy. No one knows what you are thinking or what action you will take next, and you don’t particularly want them to either. Zoe, who had never even visited Wales, thought the twang would wear off quickly, but it didn’t, leading to her diagnosis with foreign accent syndrome. The voice switch came after she was diagnosed with functional neurological disorder, which affects how the brain and body communicate, has caused tics, memory problems, slurred speech, and mobility issues, and is thought to be behind the accent change. The Welsh accent remained for over a year, until, out of the blue, Zoe woke up to find her old voice had returned after 13 months. A box of broken porcelain or a gold mine? A box of china left to gather dust in a Lincolnshire attic for over two decades has fetched a rather handsome sum at auction, despite the box being simply labelled ‘broken porcelain’. Passed on by her grandfather, who was stationed in China before World War One, Gill Stewart had kept the box in her loft before deciding it was time to do something with it. Sending it to be auctioned off, Gill told the BBC she was “completely bamboozled” upon learning the price the collection drummed up — more than £160,000; not bad for a box of ‘broken porcelain’! The collection also contained detailed notes, including on which items had broken, as well as who was to blame. The primary culprit was revealed to be Gill’s grandmother! watercooler 74 LINCOLNSHIRE TODAY LincolnshireToday @lincstoday lincolnshiretoday.net Have we missed anything? Pubs in Lincoln were serving up 28% more pints than usual during England’s Euro 2024 matches, according to figures compiled by hospitality technology company, Access Hospitality. Punters increased the amount they spent during matches too, by 29%, providing a welcome boost to venues in the city as they deal with rising costs, staff shortages and squeezed household spending. Lincoln’s increase in pints paled, however, compared to Birmingham, which saw 77% more pints served and 78% extra sales, topping the researchers’ table looking at 26 key towns and cities. © stock.adobe.com/WavebreakmediaMicro © stock.adobe.com/LIGHTFIELD STUDIOS © stock.adobe.com/5second£100 * LANDLORDS!
