Talking to the BBC she said: “I always wondered why I never heard back about the job. Now I know why…. How they found me when I’ve moved house 50-odd times, and even moved countries four or five times, is a mystery.” Although she may not have secured the motorcycle stunt rider job, the daredevil went on to work as a snake handler, an aerobatic pilot and flying instructor. A snake surprise It may have been Halloween last month, with ghosts and ghouls abound, but one Boston family had a fright of a different nature — forcing them to huddle outside of their own home. It started with the discovery of a 3ft long snake hiding under a sofa. Fortunately, ARK Wildlife & Dinosaur Park took the calls of the distraught family, seeing Jamie arrive to find them outdoors. To his surprise, after lifting the sofa, he found a very cold Florida kingsnake, certainly not native to Lincolnshire, who is now back at the ARK having warmed up and been health checked. watercooler 74 LINCOLNSHIRE TODAY LincolnshireToday @lincstoday lincolnshiretoday.net Have we missed anything? Send your rib-ticklers to m.fisher@blmgroup.co.uk By the A long-lost masterpiece A Lincoln artist who bought a painting on a whim for £2,000 at a regional auction has unknowingly come into the possession of a long- lost masterpiece. David Taylor shared on the TV show Fake or Fortune? how he purchased the painting without ever having heard of the artist, laughing that he was worried to tell his partner how much he had spent. Any concern has now surely been alleviated with the show’s experts estimating the art to be worth £300,000. Proving the painting, of women picking beans in a field, was in fact a piece from the early 20th Century deaf impressionist Helen McNicoll — one of Canada’s most celebrated female artists — the episode of the show uncovered how the art had been exhibited in Canada five times between 1912 and 1913, however its whereabouts since had been unknown. David plans to sell the piece in the near future to potentially help in the purchase of a bungalow. © stock.adobe.com/chamillew © stock.adobe.com/jedsadabodin © stock.adobe.com/bennytrappByyourside then, nowand inthefuture Learn about our free Will Writing Service at ambucopter.org.uk/will Ourfirsthelicopter,1994 LNAACT REG CHARITY 1017501 01526 861737 Billinghay, Lincolnshire LN4 4EW www.andrewdams.co.uk sales@andrewdams.co.uk Elite Aluminium Greenhouses Supply or installed, 10 Elite Greenhouses on display in Billinghay.
